Constituents: Flavonoids 35%, flavone glycosides; baicalein the aglycone of baicalin
 
Actions Indications

Anti-inflammatory

High fevers with irritability, thirst, cough and expectoration of thick yellow phlegm, colds, bronchitis, leptospirosis, scarlet fever, hepatitis, cholecystitis

Anti-allergic

Lowers histamine and prostaglandin, asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, urticaria, hay fever

Antioxidant

Cataracts with diabetes. Atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, reduces toxins and H. pylori

Anticoagulant

 

Vasodilator

Hypertension

Nervine
Sedative

Hyperactive children, stage one in HPA dysfunction

Anti-bacterial

Influenza virus, bacillary dysentery, inhibitor of HIV

Anti-tumour
