Carminative Colic, dyspepsia, indigestion, IBS, IBD, ulcerative colitis, helps heal ulcers
Antispasmodic Acute colitis, gallbladder colic or cholelithiasis, spasmodic dysmenorrhoea
Analgesic Neuralgia, sciatica, toothache, fibromyalgia
Uterine relaxant Dysmenorrhoea
Antiseptic local Acne, boils, eczema
Anti-pruritic local Shingles, chicken pox, itchy bites, cooling, sore muscles
Anti-microbial Cystitis, prostatitis, herpes simplex, shingles, viral neuritis
Anti-emetic Prevents vomiting
Relaxant Travel sickness, nausea, anxiety stress, and tension headaches
Diaphoretic Fevers, colds, and flu's, bronchitis esp. with wheezing
Hypertensive Stimulant to circulation for liver, gallbladder, pancreas and cerebral
Choleretic Stimulates the production of bile in the liver
Cholagogue Galls stones, cholecystitis, dissolves stones, caution only use on gravel stones, large stone may block duct as they dissolve (excessive lactation?) Hepatitis, liver congestion
  Externally for rheumatic and muscular pain, conjunctivitis and blepharitis
 

Herbal extract, 10-30mL per week

Energetics: Initially heating than cooling, dry, sweet, pungent

Meridians: lung, spleen, liver
