If you want to replace Amitrytylline use St John Wort and Valerian
 
Herbal extract, 15-50mL per week or use 10-20 drops when wake up at night
Energetics: sweet, bitter, pungent Warm with cooling potential. Dosha: VK-P+
Meridians: heart, pericardium, lung, spleen, liver
Contraindications: Can cause sleepiness or headaches reduce dose if this occurs. Overdose can lead to dizziness, spasms, hallucinations and excitability. Can potentiate other sleeping pills, increasing their effect and should be used with caution in this case or avoided. Can replace drug Diazepam
Surgical concerns: Could increase effects of sedatives, long-term use could increase the amount of anesthesia needed, withdrawal symptoms resemble Valium addiction
Recommendations: If possible, taper dose weeks before surgery. Treat withdrawal symptoms with benzodiazepine
